Once the first vessel takes shape, students will be guided through additional techniques to continue experimenting at home, including adding handles, altering the shape, and incorporating unique decorative elements. This gentle‑paced, joy‑filled workshop invites you to quite literally step into something new. No shoemaking experience is required — if you can sew a quilted panel, you can create these shoes. Using familiar quilting techniques alongside a few approachable construction methods, you’ll craft a cozy, custom pair of soft quilted shoes. It’s a heartwarming, hands‑on experience perfect for anyone who loves to sew, experiment, and create in community.
Explore the vibrant art of raw‑edge appliqué through the expressive language of African masks.
